Application Engineer

Locations: Abuja, Port Harcourt – Rivers & Lagos

  • Responsible for the development, promotion and implementation of the technical aspects of Power Systems business.


  • Project Power Systems as a Centre of Excellence, adding value to the business and benefiting the customer.
  • Disseminate technical advice to all categories of Power Systems customers from assessing present load, forecasting expansion. genset site survey. siting the best genset to meet load demand, designing an appropriate power distribution system, deliver final purchase. installation and commissioning.
  • Engage in negotiating Power Systems product sales into high valued projects by highlighting Power Systems technical capabilities.
  • Liaise With CSD in the design of panels for customers power solutions.


  • Provide technical where necessary to assist in achieving Power Systems sales target and to support the
  • Regional Sales force in their bid to win Power Systems product sales.
  • Prepare and submit technical quotations tor Power Systems products and their installation requirements.
  • Supervise installations of Power Systems products in order that they meet international standards and specifications.
  • Intimate potential customers of CaterpillarS range of Power Systems products. highlighting Power Systems
  • Product sales as a complete product support package.
  • Liaise with the Field Service representatives to initiate Contract Service Maintenance agreements and to execute them when contract has been signed,
  • Provide technical support to application engineers in instance of technical challenges on site and escalate to the Application and Installation Managel if challenges continue.
  • Ensure necessary documentation ot DSR is done by Application Engineer in the region and follow up with service department to get the DSR updated on SIMSi,
  • Attend to related duties as may be required by the Manager.


  • Candidates should possess HND / B.Sc Degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with relevant work experience.
  • Well experienced With CAT diesel and Gas gensets
  • Valid Drivers’ License With ability to drive manual cars.

Aftermarket Solutions Consultant (Repair & Rebuild)

Location: Lagos

  • Build, drive & maintain positive sales funnel and continuously manage pipeline & opportunities
  • To attend meetings with potential clients to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution
  • Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes
  • Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally
  • Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to channel partners and internal stakeholders
  • Work with Product Management to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products

  • Great understanding Of Product Support commodities; Proficiency at managing marketing campaigns.


  • Excellent communicator: Proficient in data manipulation tools such as MS Excel and Access.

Machine Sales Executive

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Edo, Lagos & Rivers

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving or exceeding agreed sales targets for the Company’s range of Caterpillar construction products within Nigeria Territory.

Main Functions

  • Obtain orders that meet or exceed agreed targets and negotiate equipment sales into high valued projects.
  • Ensure that full payments are received for all units sold while all necessary sales documents are adequately prepared.
  • Arrange visits to existing and prospective customers to ensure maximum coverage of the territory.
  • Aggressively promote the company’s products within the catchment area and win more prospects there from.
  • Provide product related technical assistance and advice to customers and prospects.
  • Maintain good corporate reputation and effective communication between our clients/customers and MNL Management.
  • Perform any other related duties as may be required by the team leader & the manager.
  • Provide comprehensive market information that will assist management in making business decision for business growth.


  • Managing Directors, Chief Engineers and Project Managers of key customers/prospects within the territory.
  • Consultants, Specifiers and other professional groups.
  • Senior Management of NNPC, its subsidiaries, Oil & Gas companies and other Government establishments ( States & Federal)
  • Caterpillar representatives and UNATRAC Officials.
  • All levels of MNL Management.


  • B.Sc. / B.Eng / HND in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ Sales experience. Experience in an Engineering / Construction and Material Handling Equipment company is required.
  • MBA/Masters Degree will be added advantage
  • Ability to drive with a valid drivers’ license.
