Breaking News: Commencement of NPC LGA Level Training Postponed.

1

The National Population Commission (NPC) has announced the postponement of the LGA-level training of Supervisors and Enumerators, which was scheduled to commence on April 13, 2023. The decision was made due to emerging issues, according to a press release issued by Isiaka Yahaya, the Director of Public Affairs at the NPC.

The announcement was also made yesterday by Arin Olanipekun on behalf of the Director General. The NPC regrets any inconvenience this postponement may cause to functionaries who had been scheduled to attend.

All arrangements for the training have been put on hold until further notice. Additionally, states that have already sent out invitations to functionaries have been instructed to withdraw them and await further directives.

Despite the postponement, the NPC assures the public that preparations for the 2023 Population and Housing Census are still in top gear. The commission remains committed to conducting a credible and acceptable census.

Stakeholders who were eagerly awaiting updates on the rescheduling of the training have expressed concern. The NPC has promised to communicate the new date to the public in due course.

The NPC advises the public to disregard any message contrary to this information and assures Nigerians that it will continue to work towards a successful 2023 Population and Housing Census.
