Okoro gazes at his watch countless times and then stares at the speakers who are still vibrating non-stop. His stomach rumbles, signalling him to do something right away.
He turns to find other participants complaining about how the organisers are taking too long to end the programme.
Some were shuffling their feet and sighing while some started looking for any snacks around to buy and eat.
At this point, everything that was said didn't matter any longer because they were all starving.
Then another speaker came to the podium. This time everybody roared in fear, "we are dying of hunger".
The new speaker smiled and announced, " I know you're exhausted and starving. We have made provisions for a buffet after the last speaker finishes his speech".
Everybody stood up and applaudded the speaker. You could see how the atmosphere changed. Everybody behaved as though they had just been refreshed.
No matter how much you pretend not to bother in any event, there's always a mental shift when you know that there will be item 7 at the end.
And of course, we know that no good organiser will start with item 7 unless they want to whet your appetite to prepare you for refreshment ahead.
Refreshment is always kept till the end to sustain the audience interest.
That is what we say in another term, "there will be light at the end of the tunnel."
The attitude that you show when you know something good is at the end is always different. You will choose to be uncomfortable to achieve that result.
But When you can't visualize what is at the end, giving up is always inevitable. All your focus will be on how difficult the process is.
I want you to visualize your success. Intentionally create a mental picture of your fulfilment. Focus on what you'll become at the end of the process.
Anytime, anybody in that event feels uncomfortable, the picture of the buffet replays.
Use all your senses to always play your success tape…. Add every juicy detail…Feel it, touch it, smell it, conceive it, hear it, taste it……
Always remind yourself of who you will become if you persist.
Don't let your present suffering disrupt your sense of judgement.
Stand firm for your future today.
"It gets better: there's a light at the end of the tunnel. It may take one day, it may take ten years. But one day, you will find happiness if you manifest it. Put that energy out, and it'll come back. "Lil Xan.
Yes, one day you'll be proud of yourself. One day, you'll be happy you took that bold step despite the odds.
